Research, extension and development projects

HumanizaCom develops and coordinates research, extension and development projects focused on emerging issues that challenge contemporary society. Among the main topics addressed are environmental degradation, disasters, climate change, wars and armed conflicts, political and economic instability, the weaknesses of multilateralism, forced displacement, food insecurity and other forms of violation of human and civil rights. These phenomena, marked by their complexity and multidimensional impacts, require interdisciplinary approaches and methodologies that are sensitive to social, cultural and territorial dynamics.

HumanizaCom 's actions prioritize the reality of groups in situations of greater vulnerability, such as children, women, the black population, traditional peoples, the elderly, people with disabilities, and populations in refugee and displaced situations. The critical investigation of these contexts and the search for ethical and effective solutions are guided by the precepts of humanitarianism and the foundations of risk communication , humanitarian and peace communication and journalism, and media interventions in risk and crisis scenarios. This foundation guides everything from the diagnosis and analysis of problems to the formulation of proposals, guidelines, and communication strategies for addressing them and building social resilience.

HumanizaCom not only develops projects of its own authorship, but has also been constantly invited to join initiatives and actions conducted by public and private institutions and civil society organizations, at national and international levels.
