MiniBio: Full professor of the Postgraduate Program in Social Communication and permanent professor of the Postgraduate Program in Religious Studies, both at the Methodist University of São Paulo (UMESP), and professor at FGV LAW, teaching the subjects of Risk Communication and Climate Change. She is the leader of the Humanitarian Journalism and Media Interventions research group (HumanizaCom). She is a member of the Executive Board of the Foundation for Global Governance and Sustainability (FOGGS), co-founder and co-coordinator of the Global South Perspectives Network. She is the coordinator of the Ricardo Boechat Course and Award for Political Journalism, a partnership between HumanizaCom and the Parliamentary School of the City Council of Itapevi (SP). He holds a post-doctorate from the Postgraduate Program in Territorial Planning and Management, with a concentration in Environmental and Urban Risk Management, at the Federal University of ABC (UFABC), a PhD in Public Health from the University of São Paulo, with a thesis in the area of Environmental and Technological Risk Communication, a master's degree in Scientific and Technological Communication and a specialization in Communication Applied to Health, and a bachelor's degree in Journalism. He has been teaching higher education since 1995, teaching courses in Communication (Journalism, Public Relations, RTVI and Advertising and Propaganda), Law and Environmental Engineering. Since 2023, he has coordinated the extension project Montanhão - Exchange of Knowledge and Expertise for Building Resilience, Socio-Environmental Justice and Adaptation to Climate Emergency. She coordinated the areas of Risk Communication and Dissemination (2023-2024) and the Participatory Project Process (2024) of the project to prepare the first National Plan for Civil Protection and Defense, developed within the scope of the International Technical Cooperation BRA/12/017 - Project Strengthening the Culture of Disaster Risk Management in Brazil, between the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the Ministry of Integration and Regional Development (MIDR), through the National Secretariat for Civil Protection and Defense (Sedec). She was a consultant and researcher for the project GIRD+10 - Improvement and Updating of Technical-Operational Content and Pedagogical Proposal for Risk and Disaster Management in the Brazilian Context, developed within the scope of the same International Technical Cooperation. She has designed, coordinated and worked on projects that demand the potential of risk communication, media intervention resources, humanitarian and peace journalism and religions. She has worked as a journalist since 1991 in the areas of science, environment and international affairs. She was a commentator for Jornal da Cultura and worked as a special correspondent for TV Gazeta and TV Cultura, covering several countries, including Ecuador, Japan, Poland, Germany, Belgium, France, Morocco, Turkey, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon and Kenya. She has experience covering international UN conferences.
